This place is worth all the hype. I was an avid fan when they first opened their location in West Little Rock. Now that BO is located closer to my home, I am a regular. I love everything about this place. The décor, the food, the milkshakes, the service, the cocktails, the location! EVERYTHING! My favorite thing to do is sit at the bar and split a burger and fries with a friend. The portions are very large, so plan on taking some home, or split. Some standout burgers are the White Truffle & Pecorino, the Farmer's Burger, and the Maytag Blue (that pepper jelly is CLUTCH!). I LOVE the sweet potato fries because they are served with a delicious curry spiced ketchup. It really kicks something simple up onto the next level. The truffle fries are good too, but I feel like everywhere has those right now. The currant pecan chicken salad salad is also worth a go. Very tasty.

Big Orange is always there for you. It's good for kids. Good for adults. Not so trendy it scares your parents, but cool enough to impress out of town friends. They also tend to be open on holidays when most of town is closed and during icy times. The best burger I ever had here was a special, so it's not on the menu- it was a seafood burger. ALWAYS ask about the specials if the information isn't offered, because the special is probably what's going to knock your socks off. Sometimes when we sit on the patio/tented area at the midtown location it's freeeezing. Get a shake to go at the end of your meal.

Came in with a party of 16 when the place was basically empty and they refused to accommodate us. Which was strange because they're sending money right out the door. They seemed as if they could care less. The lack of hospitality was shocking. So we went right next door to Cantina Laredo which immediately seated us in a private room and we had a great meal. Nevertheless I heard about how great Big Orange's shakes were so we came back for shakes after our meal. I ordered the malt shake and was blown away. Absolutely delicious. The malt flavor was all there and then the malt crunch was evenly distributed throughout the shake for a pleasant texture change. This is definitely a must try shake. So don't expect great service but except great food.

This. Place. Is. Great. Great atmosphere. Great food. Great drinks. Greatly orange. LOL! Its a hip burger spot that orange everywhere. I love the truffle fries. My burger was prepared well. I had the Farmer's Burger and it was greatness. Loved the extra bacon they gave me. A must try if you visit Little Rock.

I have to say--Big Orange is my favorite place in town. It's in a great location, it's not too pricey, it's busy and fun, it has PLENTY of options, and it support the local food economy! Oh, and did I mentioned that the food is to-die-for!? I love the way the menu is set up-- you can choose a style of burger, and then you get to choose if you would like beef, turkey, or a black bean patty. My top choice is the Mushroom Melt with the black bean patty; it satisfies every time. I'm also a fan of the fried pickle spears. I try to avoid the fried food when I can, but I have to admit that it's a weakness. I've tried the fried asparagus as well, but I definitely prefer the pickles. I enjoy sitting in the bar area because it's where all the action takes place. The room is a big open space with a U-shaped bar. You can't help but feel that you're dining with a big family in there. I am not a fan of the regular tables. They feel a bit secluded and closed off, but I'm sure some people do not want to feel that they're enjoying dinner with a community. They have outdoor seating as well. There's a full bar with some local brews, and they have draft wine. Sometimes I've had negative experiences with wine on tap, but I enjoy the Malbec very much. The bar tenders and servers are always really nice, genuine, and social as well. It's just a feel-good place.

Great food fun staff. Quiet in the afternoon. Sitting is odd with the upstairs area. Great service. Food was very tasty. Drinks were refilled often. I recommend it for a lunch visit. Parking is a little tight.

There are some places you absolutely love, but can't quite put into words. I could talk about the Big Orange all day long, but simply put, go. Just go try it. I challenge anyone to not find something they love about this place! I have had one of the best lunches in my life at the spacious bar, and will be back to try the Mead I spotted on the menu on the way out. This is a wonderful, wide-open place with great service, absolutely amazing food, and great coffee - their menu and the place itself speak volumes about modern design and a focus on local food/drink.

Overview: Big Orange is a modern, hip, American restaurant and bar located just north of the 630 Freeway on University Drive that serves upscale and unique burgers, fries, salads, and shakes along with appetizers like fried pickle spears and tempura asparagus. It's located in the same plaza as Pottery Barn and several upscale clothing stores, and there is plenty of parking (though it is still fairly packed on weekends.) The Establishment: Big Orange, with its clean lines, use of glass, and splashes of color looks like it should be in Seattle or San Francisco rather than Little Rock, AK. It's situated in an upscale outdoor shopping mall, and staffed by young, beautiful people. It's frequented by the hipster crowd and the parking lot full of luxury cars if that helps tell you the crowd you'll get here. Don't dress fancy, but dress stylishly if you don't want to stick out here. There are options for indoor (1st or 2nd story), outdoor, and bar seating to please everyone. The Service: Well kempt, and friendly. While it is upscale, it's casual in its service so don't expect a doting waitress. The Food: I ordered a White Truffle & Pecornio burger ($13 as of May 2015) with a vegan patty and I was extremely surprised how flavorful the burger was. The spiciness of the patty, combined with the sweetness of the fig jam, with the subtle bitter of the greens, and the light but hearty texture of the bun was very impressive. The burger was about the same size as one that you would find at an upscale burger joint like Islands but I did feel that $13 was much too expensive for what I received and is the reason that I did not give Big Orange 5-stars. Conclusions: Big Orange is a beautifully decorated, modern American restaurant that offers takeout that serves very unique twists on traditional American fast-food. It's quite expensive for what you get, but the experience is worth it depending on your tax bracket.

Big Orange is a great place to grab a burger that's a little bit different from the other places. There's a pleasant, casual, and modern ambiance. Most noticeable is the bar area downstairs with booth seating all around. Upstairs has table seating and a slight view of the downstairs. I stopped for lunch not too long ago and sat at the bar since I was by myself. The bartender was friendly and service was okay. The bartender seemed a little too pre-occupied with bar setup rather than the customers at the bar. Myself and another customer had to wait longer than we probably should have considering the bar dining wasn't full. The burger was unquestionably one of the top burgers I've in the Little Rock area. Probably the first gourmet burger I've had in Little Rock. Keeping in mind I don't live here. The Maytag Blue - Maytag Blue Cheese, Pepper Jelly, Lettuce, Tomato, and Red Onions. The Blue cheese is definitely the star of this burger and the difference maker for me was the Pepper jelly. The pepper jelly had just the right amount of sweet to counter the blue cheese. Big Orange has been added to my list of places to eat in Little Rock. Looking forward to coming and trying other items on the menu.

I am traveling for work this week and visiting Little Rock for the first time, and decided to try out this place based on the great reviews. I was very impressed with the friendly service, nice patio, and delicious burgers and shakes! I ordered the cranberry turkey curry burger and a nutella chocolate shake and it was absolutely delicious! I can't wait until I am back in Little Rock for business in a couple weeks so that I can return to this awesome burger place! I would definitely recommend it!

I came here for the first time with a group of friends and I was really happy I went. Their cocktail menu is awesome, and we happened to catch happy hour on a Saturday night. (Seriously, where else can get a bourbon cocktail for $5 a pop?!) We had just come from dinner so we weren't hungry but did order sweet potato fries and the garlic truffle fries. Definitely worth a visit. I think it's good for parties of any size.

Same burger, same great taste as the Chenal Promenade location. However, this is my go to place since the bar is greater and they constantly produce great drinks. In terms of burgers, I usually get one of these three choices: Maytag Blue Cheese Burger, Atom Bomb Burger, or one of their Burger special such as the Korean Food Truck Burger. On the plus side, you can get these burger on a Veggie patty that is extremely delicious. I have also heard good things about the shakes but I tend to skip those. Drink wise, this place is the best place to go on Friday or Saturday night starting at 9pm to close during their Reverse Happy Hour ($5 specialty cocktails and happy hour specials).

I keep trying to like Big Orange. I'm done trying. Ate at the midtown location this time. The good news: the service here was much better than Chenal location. The bad news: it's still expensive and just not very good. The tempura asparagus was over-breaded and the quality of the asparagus was poor; stringy with a funky taste. The turkey pesto burger had way too much pesto, and I didn't care for how they prepare the turkey patty. Had more like a grilled chicken sandwich taste and texture than what you would expect for a ground beef substitute. Kids meals cost as much as a regular burger. My child's chicken strips tasted and looked like processed junk. Two stars for the service and the desserts. If I ever come back, that's all I'm getting.

  • Amanda C.

Cool spot, I had the chicken pesto burger and it is still burning my heart. You have to be totally punk/ grunge to work here though. Everyone had a facial piercing and visible tatoos. Our server Jessica was super sweet. My fiancé had the burger of the moment which was a prime rib burger, with regular beef and no horseradish available :/ also I was in the mood for soup which we were told there was none available since the last batch was gross and had to be thrown away. The atmosphere was the best part. We paid $50 for 2 burgers, 1 fries side a coke and 1 beer. Not sure why it's #1 on yelp. Sorry

  • Michael F.

Fantastic. I've been probably a dozen times and tried just about everything on the menu. I've yet to have something even decent. Just a consistently great place. If you like turkey burgers, the pimento and cheddar/bbq with turkey are awesome! Even though it's hard to move away from the burgers, the chicken sandwich is also a great choice. If you have friends from out of town, this is a perfect locally owned place to have a casual lunch or dinner.

  • Laura O.

I come here quite often--whether just to have a few drinks with friends and enjoy the atmosphere or to eat lunch on the patio when the weather is nice. The salads are incredibly fresh with delicious add-ins available like grilled chicken. You also can't go wrong with a burger and fries but don't leave off the milkshake. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a great meal in midtown Little Rock!

The bigger, better sister bar to the Big Orange on Chenal. A large U shaped bar that sits about 20 people. Booths lining the edges, with an upstairs, and great patio. The building is cavernous and can get loud. No TV's, which I love. A great modern and minimalist vibe that is really welcoming. Service, at first, was slow. It took about 15 minutes to get noticed. Though the bar was slammed so no worries. Once I got a menu, the bartenders were great and incredibly knowledgeable. I love the booze. 8 beer taps, certainly not as much as the Flying Saucer downtown. Though the Saucer has way to much crap and filler. None here. A rotating list like the other location. On my visit 4 taps from Lost Forty, which is a surprisingly good brand new local brewery. Southern Star, Prairie Artisan, and a few others on tap. With a great bottle list as well. No crap at all. The mixed drinks are great. A few barrel aged cocktails that rotate, depending on what they make. Then the burgers, great googly moogly, I love the burgers and fries here. About a half pound, juicy as can be hand formed, freshly ground natural beef? Oh man, I already need another. Medium is actually closer to medium rare, and with the quality of beef that is perfect. The Blue Maytag with a mound of funky blue cheese and this amazing sweet pepper jelly is amazeballs. Sweet potato fires with a mango-curry ketchup...yes please. I love the Chenal location, but this is a big step up. At first, slow service, but that was more than made up for as my dinner went on. One of the better places in Little Rock. Looking forward to visiting the Lost Forty Brewery when I get a chance, but this will do in the mean time. All around excellent.

Good food made with local ingredients. Burgers are the specialty. Great shakes. Seems to be launched with hopes of franchising/expansion due to how much of a branded experience one gets here when dining. Maybe a little branding overkill but great overall experience/design.

Good hamburgers in a loud building, too crowed for me on Sunday afternoon. I can not enjoy my food in such a location.

I was travelling with my sister who is a vegetarian. If she wanted anything more than a salad our options were pretty limited. Luckily Yelp found this place for us. Thanks Yelp! We started with the Spicy Pimento Cheese. It was awesome! A lot of times places say things are spicy and then they aren't. This was definitely spicy. It was a lot of food and we both enjoyed it. I liked the spicy pimento cheese so much I got the turkey burger with the cheese on it as well. So often turkey burgers are dry, but this was not the case. It was juicy, and the cheese on top was delicious. I would definitely get it again. My sister enjoyed their veggie burger and really like that the vegetarian portion of the menu did not feel like an afterthought. The service was great. The interior was hip and clean. The beer selection was thoughtful. I would totally go back.

When I walked out of Big Orange, I had a feeling about a restaurant I haven't had in a long time. That feeling was disappointment : ( I had heard so much about Big Orange, looked at the menu online, and it sounds like such an amazing place. I ordered the special burger for the day called the Smoky Grasshopper. It came with cream cheese, jalepenos, BBQ sauce, and lettuce. It came originally as a turkey burger and I would have preferred it as beef but that was my fault not telling the waitress. I've had better turkey burgers. This one really had no taste to it...even with the cream cheese and BBQ sauce. The bun was really tasty though. Sad to say...my burger was the least disappointing item. My house fries were over-cooked...they were hard...past good crunchy. I thought my shake would save me especially after I just saw yesterday shakes from Big Orange was on a list of places to get milkshakes from in Arkansas. My shake of choice was peanut butter and chocolate. It should have been called peanut butter and chocolate syrup because there was no chocolate ice cream to it : ( Chocolate milkshakes are always better with chocolate ice cream. I could have gotten this shake at Sonic for half the price. After all of this came the real disappointing part...that I had to pay for this meal when I could have went somewhere else, paid half the price, and be happier. Maybe I just had a bad experience at Big Orange. The service was really good and it was really quick too. I will be willing to give Big Orange a try again with an Angus burger and the truffle fries. But big-time disappointment is what I experienced today.

This place has the best darn burgers. The sweet potato fries are the best we've had. The bacon burger with avacado and cheese cooked medium rare is a just better than good beer. But on that note they have great selections of both beer and whiskey. One stop here and it won't be your last for sure.

  • Matthew A.

The farmer's burger was amazing and so were the sweet potato fries. I ordered take out and it's ready when I got there to pick it up. It was still hot and fresh. I will definitely have to go in and eat next time. Their shakes looked too good to pass up.

Came here while staying in town for the night. Was not expecting to find a place like this in Little Rock, AR. Great trendy little restaurant here. Went with the Mushroom Melt. Literally melted in my mouth. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for drinks and great burgers.

My 73 year old mother in law and I tried Big Orange for the first time. I wasn't sure about taking her to a trendier restaurant but we both were surprised! We went during the lunch rush so it was very crowded and there was a wait to get in, but the staff was attentive and very cordial. Our waiter was wonderful and he suggested the bacon avocado burger. I just have to say that it was the best burger I have ever had! The meat was tender, well seasoned, and juicy. The bun was soft and there wasn't too much bread. It really was fabulous! We also had a side of fries to share. Let me just say that the BOB fry sauce is addictive! We don't live in Little Rock, but I can guarantee that we will be back to Big Orange!

I love you. I love the Promenade location better because of the shopping, but your restaurant paints symphonies on my taste buds.

We loved everything about this place. The atmosphere, the food and ohh my the shakes are to Die for. Our waiter Sam was most helpful. He was always there and granted all our wishes of requests we had in our food choices. Ohhh I so wish we had one of these in Houston. The owners are on to something BIG. The foods are brought in from local growers and farmers. You gotta love that. Honestly, I can't say enough good things about them. I wanted my burger well it was just that. YummmO. My friend had a turkey burger (they have vegan options too) she said it could be a little spicer, but she enjoyed hers too. Ohh my goodness and the shake. I know it's a lot of calories, but so worth it.

On my most recent visit to Little Rock, my friend took me to the Big Orange, which is known primarily for their burgers, salads, and milkshakes. The restaurant has a bit of a trendy vibe about it. They have a full bar and a list of draught beers. My friend ordered my favorite salad, which is a tomato caprese. It is mozzarella, tomatoes, basil, and balsamic. This one looked awesome. It used yellow tomatoes rather than the traditional red. The restaurant can make any burger using beef, ground turkey, or veggie. I went with the beef burger. I had the Maytag Blue, which was topped with blue cheese and pepper jelly along with lettuce, onion, and tomato. I always love the beef and blue cheese combination; the pepper jelly added a nice extra touch. You can order your burgers to whatever temperature that you want. The default is medium well. I forgot to specify. I would have preferred a medium rare. However, that was my fault. It was a great burger with full of flavor. I also had the order of house fries. They were perfectly cooked. They were crispy with just the right amount of potato. They came with a homemade sauce. I'm not sure what it is; I know it was a mayonnaise based sauce. I would definitely eat here again. It was an awesome burger. The prices are close to $9, which is fairly average for a gourmet burger.

Well, first of all, the server carded me, which made my week as I'm turning 50 in March, so I was already disposed to like this place! I had the White Truffle and Pecorino burger, which was amazingly delicious, juicy and flavorful. My dining companions had a fish option, a gluten free option, and a turkey option - all said theirs were delicious - and some sweet potato fries (one of my dining companions is deaf as a post and misheard the server when she said "chips," but she was so gracious and apologized for her mistake.) I wish they had a Big Orange in San Francisco as I'd make it my regular haunt!

Excellent place. I don't eat burgers, but when i do it's here. Truffle fries are pretty darn good too and their Veggie Burger is delicious. Atmosphere can be very loud bright and crowded but that's because the place is popular. Impressed by their beer on tap as well. Defintiely recommend.

We went to this place on a quick trip through Little Rock, due to not only the great reviews but also due to sheer number of them-- much higher than pretty much every other restaurant in Little Rock. It was AMAZING! I don't eat meat, dairy, flour, or sugar, but Big Orange (a hamburger place) was able to completely accommodate my cray-cray dietary restrictions with a specialty veggie burger on a gluten-free bun, both of which were shockingly delicious. Our waiter was awesome too. Five stars!

My absolute favorite place to dine here in LR. I've had several dishes and have never, ever been disappointed. I was extremely surprised by the pimento cheese burger, as I typically don't like pimento cheese. The green tomato relish makes it amazing. I ALWAYS order truffle fries. The burgers are huge, original, and so tasty. The atmosphere is laid back and fun. The bar is amazing... The fact that they have a full bar at a burger place is amazing. I highly recommend the velvet orange drink, especially in summer.

  • Apurva N.

My colleagues and I went here for dinner last night. It was my second visit to Big Orange - my first visit does not invoke good memories, since everyone I was with basically ordered everything fried and ultra greasy, without giving the menu a real chance. This place is a burger and shake place. I ordered the Turkey Pesto burger. All my colleagues ordered burgers as well. I thought the turkey burger was among the best I have ever had! My colleagues also concurred! We also gave the milkshakes a shot - I thought they were OK.. not superlative and not terrible.. certainly not in the same class as the burgers! If you are in the area, give the burgers here a shot!

Big Orange rhymes with....nothing, but they have really good food. Little Where? This is Little Rock? This is a really weird city in many respects, but the Big Orange is a great place. First, the decor. Legit hipster digs, gastro-pubby. The food = Good times. Great burgers and appetizers. Weird and wonderful beer. Recommendations: Tempura Asparagus (because you need a little more S2(CH2)2CH CO2H in your life!) Fried pickle spears and the Farmer's Burger. Service was very friendly. Keep rockin' it Little Rock!

This is a constant request from my kids. While it's a little pricey, they are delicious burgers! Not only that, we love that the beef is grass-fed and ingredients are local and fresh. My favorite is the Curry Falafel Burger and the truffle fries! They also have great wine choices and a great craft beer selection. You can't go wrong! I've even seen Judge Reinhold (actor) dining here!

Without a doubt wonderful food. But bring a megaphone. You cannot hear in this place. Opt for the patio if possible.

  • Rhonda M.

I would give this place five stars solely on their truffle fries, and that's not even taking their amazing burgers into consideration. Maytag Blue Burger? Why yes please! Thanks so much. And a mountain of your truffle fries to go with that. I greatly appreciate it.

  • Russell W.

I've considered moving to Little Rock for this restaurant. And even more so now that Big Orange has a second location that isn't so far off the beaten path for someone in the city. These burgers are uh-mazing with sweet potato fries and mango ketchup. It's no wonder that this place is always packed. I really don't think you can go wrong with the burgers here. And don't listen to those negative Nancy reviewers who expect Big Orange to be the same price point of McDonalds -- you get the quality you pay for.

We were in North Little Rock and decided to see what all the fuss was about with Big Orange. It was a Saturday afternoon so they were extremely busy. There is a large bar in the center with seating all around, upstairs, and in a separated room to the right. A few minutes wait later we were seated upstairs by a vey nice hostess. My husband and son ordered the Jean Petite with Bacon and Cheddar and The Hickory Burger and two orders of fries. They both said it was the best burger they have had in a long time. They were impressed with the burgers- 5 stars. Fries pretty good- 3 stars. Husband also had a chocolate shake and loved it- 5 Stars I ordered a Big House Orange Salad. The salad was great but unfortunately it came with a dressing that was nothing but oil with a few drops of some sort of orange flavoring. I asked for a Balsamic dressing instead. What came was another container of oil with a few drops of Balsamic in the middle. Salad- 3 stars. So, you might be wondering why I didn't just say (with a smile), "hey, the dressing is just to oily, can you recommend something else?". Well, this is because our waiter acted like he was already annoyed when I asked for the Balsamic . Sad, because everyone else seemed very nice. Server- 2 stars. So, here's the deal. The burgers are awesome but a bit pricey; no fries included. Shakes are out of this world. Service was a little lacking. If you make me feel uncomfortable during my meal, like I'm just bothering you, then I don't want to come back. BUT, we will be coming back. My boys practically danced out the door, they loved the burgers that much! Ok Big Orange, PLEASE fix your dressing issue! We'll definitely be back :0)

I was in Little Rock for 2 days, and decided to try this restaurant based on the reviews. I must admit that its the best vegetarian burger ever had. Me and my wife tried Turkey Presto (comes with egg) with veggie patty. Liked so much that we went again next day for lunch.

The truffle fries definitely live up to their reputation. The atmosphere was great and server was nice and available. The salad had more ice berg lettuce than the other ingredients by far. Tasty, nevertheless.

Simply delightful, anything you order will not disappoint and the beer menu always holds a surprise. The burgers are cooked to perfection and the sweet potato fries are a must.

The turkey burgers are great. I would order them over the beef any day of the week. The beef is pretty dry and flavorless. Much better beef burgers elsewhere. The salads are phenomenal. Fresh, flavorful ingredients. The gluten free buns are decent. Better with the turkey. I got one with the beef and between the patty and the bread my mouth felt like the sahara. The truffle fries are so, so good.

The mid town location is pretty good but the over all Big Orange experience is lacking. The mid town location has a pretty good beer selection while the Chenal location is seriously lacking. Coming back from California it was a nice surprise to see an expanded list of quality beer, I then went to my local Big Orange(Chenal) and was severely disappointed. They didn't have most beer that mid town had. I'll nit be back to the Chenal location and time is limited at mid town.

Truly excellent food and drinks. As great as their burgers are (and their burgers are spec. tacular), I also highly recommend you try their wedge salad - the avocado and balsamic glaze go a long way. On the drink side, we've got classic cocktails, well balanced, made by bartenders who really know their stuff. Wort the price, but exceptional when they go for $5 at happy hour. There's also an extensive but well-curated stock of whiskey (and a not bad stick of whisky, but that's a different story) and here, too, the knowledgeable bartenders are very helpful. tl;dr great food, great drink, even if you're not big on burgers it might well still be worth your time

Had the Maytag Blue veggie burger with sweet potato fries, it was excellent! My reason for 4 not five stars was it took a while to be seated when the restaurant was not busy.

Oh my wow! I absolutely love everything about this place. The decor is very hipster-y and cute. The food is absolutely AMAZING. I got the truffle and fig jam burger and I was blown away by how good it was. We also ordered a cookies and cream milkshake and it was great; a perfect end to the meal. My only suggestion would be to add a little more truffle oil to the garlic and truffle fries. Also, I wish I could remember his name, but the gentleman that served us was wonderful. My glass was never empty, and he checked on us frequently.

Burger was delicious and cooked as ordered. The beer selection was awesome! Our server wasn't overly attentive but was friendly and fun. I love the physical environment, casual but very chic. Great ambiance. I like that the windows open all along one side to give it an outdoor feeling in nice weather. I would definitely go back.

They have a good cocktail program here - definitely one of the best in Little Rock. The burgers (and fried chicken sandwiches) are good and hearty but the truffle fries are divine.

My favorite place in Arkansas by far! The truffle burger and truffle fries are divine! I have eaten burgers all across this country and Big Orange has the best I have ever eaten. I no longer live in Arkansas but am dying to take a trip just to eat here. You won't be dissapointed. We have tried every burger on the menu, they are AMAZING!

The food was absolutely great! I had the Farmer's Burger and sweet potato fries. My waiter was nice and did a good job of explaining the menu. Oh ya I had the lemon-limeade.

I come here often and their burger's are always great, I been trying to get a different one each time I visit, but my only disadvantage is that I don't eat pork and there are a few burgers that come with bacon and I have to eat those burgers without it, but even so they are still good.

The burgers here are fantastic. I got the Maytag Blue Cheese burger. It had pepper jelly on it which I was not quite sure about, but decided to try anyways. The combination was awesome and they don't skimp on the blue cheese. My fiancé got the Mushroom Burger which had a great sauce as well. We got truffle fries and shared them between the two of us. They come with a garlic mayo type sauce that was good. I almost forgot we got an appetizer, the chip bucket. I didn't care for the sauce, but enjoyed the chips plain. We will be back.

Best restaurant in Little Rock. Great food, outstanding design, original style, vibrant atmosphere and beautiful and lovely staff. The Big Orange(I call it the "big O", innuendo intended) makes you feel better just to walk in the door and it only gets better from there. Original Cocktails Good Beer/Wine List Great Shakes Perfect Burgers and my personal fav: The Blackened Tilapia is served on a bun(get the roumelade on the side to keep the bun from getting soggy but don't forget it, it's delicious. Reasonable prices round out a perfect meal. Note: the crowd here is diverse but the staff are a variable who's-who of the hip local wait-staff. Makes me(coming from SF), feel right at home, but turns some people off(suckers). Cheers!

White Truffle and Pecorino burger! This burger had just the right amount of seasoning, juice, arugula, fig jam and cheese(I don't even like arugula), but the blend of flavors just melted in your mouth. Also, the Thai Chop salad, oh man that salad dressing was something I wanted pour over every piece of meat - a meat dipping sauce over salad! Also I didn't know you could make asparagus taste so yummy in soup! Ok, and the shakes, the shakes...had the Nutella Shake, again-SO GOOD! Try this place even if it is a little fancy, the food is worth the cost.

Dropped in for a late lunch on Saturday after a long morning of errands and it was just what we needed! Not quite enough to knock The Works in Canada out of top burger joint of my heart but still very very good. For apps we started out with the tempura green beans, the batter was perfectly light, airy, and shatteringly crisp like good tempura ought to be and the sriracha mayo dip had just enough sneaky heat to keep things interesting. 5 stars for those, definitely. Burgerwise, my dining partner got a Maytag Blue and I ordered the Petit Jean Bacon & Avocado, and a side of house fries to share. I'm not wild about places that make you order fries separately but I also don't always want fries either so that's fair enough I guess, and those are, indeed, some tasty fries. My burger was good but I'd ordered mine medium and it was definitely most of the way to well, and the seasoning seemed rather uneven. Some bites would be perfect, some would be a little too salty and others would turn out bland. It also could've probably benefited from some wax paper wrap to make it easier to eat out of hand, since the avocado, mayo and lettuce all combined to make the fillings super slippery! Dining buddy had no complaints about his Maytag Blue, and his was cooked perfectly too so maybe my burger was a fluke. Overall I'm excited to be moving close to this restaurant so I can eat my way through their menu!

Quite busy at 7:30 on a Wednesday. Food creative and mostly delicious. Trendy decor and a wait to get in -- I should have called in my takeout order.

During my visit to Little Rock, I searched for a family owned restaurant and found Big Orange. Nice atmosphere, great food, and pleasant customer service. Manny was gracious to give us a few extra minutes to study the menu and answer questions. I had the Maytag Blue hamburger with Truffle Fries, unsweet tea and for dessert a Dulce De Leche shake (I had skipped lunch). It was an awesome early dinner. I will return on my next trip to the area. Since I am not familiar with the area, I had a hard time finding the location in the far back corner of the mall area on 207 N University. The half hour search was worth it.

Fabulous burgers and bloody Mary's. I had the whiskey something or other burger. Very, very good. Fun friendly staff and a very laid back atmosphere. Will for sure be back!

This place reminded me of Red Robin. It's hard for me to put one over the other, Big Orange offers a selection of gourmet burgers and shakes and appetizers. The appetizers and fries were fresh and excellent as well as the shake which was more ice cream than shake (get at end of meal). The Farmers Burger I had was pretty good but pretty much average. We waited 30 minutes to be seated but once we were we were attended to appropriately. We went on a regular week night.

Burgers are great and a nice size. I had the bacon and avocado and it was tasty. The vanilla milkshake was the bomb for, you know, being a vanilla milkshake. My only complaint, and I can't believe I could even write this because truffle oil is like a little drop of heaven, but the truffle fries were way too truffle-y. It was completely overpowering.

The food is good but price is high enough I won't go unless someone else is paying. The burgers tend to have very dry overcooked patties and very greasy buttered buns which makes for a slightly weird texture sensation.

Stopped in to order a bite to eat while driving through Little Rock. It was about 2pm so they weren't busy at all. I was promptly greeted, given a menu and my order taken. The gentleman was pleasant and knowledgeable. Now the young lady was a little too hyperand over zealous. I could have done w/o her. I ordered the burger with mushrooms, caramelized onions, and harvati cheese, fries, and a chocolate shake. Was all that and a bag of chips! Definitely worth the 10 minute wait! Highly recommend

Big Orange is the place to go for dinner in little rock. Do you feel like having a high quality burger/sandwich? Big Orange has it. Do you feel like having some awesome fries or maybe even some truffle fries? Big Orange has it. Do you want to get your liquor drink on? Well Big Orange will help you out. Do you feel like having a milkshake that's worth it's price? Do I even need to say it?

Was in Little Rock for a Birthday celebration and after short visit to Park Plaza mall, we were looking for something that was cutting edge in Little Rock. So we went to the Big Orange. If you are looking for a Great Burger & Shake with an out standing atmosphere than look no further. Item 1. Recently having surgery I could only have chicken, so the staff was amazing they prepared me a chicken burger, topped with a nice sharp cheddar and Petit Jean bacon. - Simply amazing, Everything from Bibb Lettuce to seasoning on chicken. Item 2. Sweet Potato fries- Super Crunchy and full of flavor, Served with Mango Ketchup..WOW. Got to also try the wide selection of beer...slim on domestics...but sporting a wide variety of IPA's

The mushroom burger is among the best that I have ever had. I will return. The garlic truffle fries are money in the bank. Good ambiance - and perhaps the best burger that I have ever had.

We stopped here, on our way back to Memphis, for a birthday weekend burger binge. I had the Farmer's Burger and my boyfriend had the Atom Bomb. Carter scarfed his down but left off the Jalapeños because he just wanted a spicy burger not a serious heat. Mine was really really good but I should've ordered the Maytag Blue because that's what I was really craving. The farmer's burger was huge and it had thick cut bacon as well as Havarti cheese so don't get me wrong...it was gooood! I also went for the truffle-garlic-herb fries and Carter got the house fries. The truffle fries were great, not too overpowering but still clearly tasted like truffle. The house fries were so crispy and mmmmmm! Carter told the server it was my birthday when I went to the restroom so they brought out a free shake!! I had the chocolate factory and once he tasted mine Carter ordered another! We quickly realized that after out two massive burgers with fries we could've easily split one shake but, oh well we are gluttonous!! This place is definitely one to try and we will be back the next time we crave burgers while in Little Rock!! The staff were courteous, helpful, and I like how Big Orange hires 'edgy' people! I also noticed, if I am remembering correctly, that they didn't have uniforms which was somehow relaxing to me. The building was beautiful and the lighting was really modern. Okay this is getting a little long and I stopped talking about food a while ago! I think I'm done now so here are some pics of my burger (Farmer's Burger) and shake (Chocolate Factory: missing a few bites)

My husband and I came here for lunch just on a random whim. I ordered the white truffle burger with fig jam and my husband ordered the Atom Bomb both were absolutely amazing! We did not have to wait to be seated , food arrived promptly and our server was awesome! I took a shake for the road and I am in heaven! Will come back

I give big orange of 5 because you guys have the most awesome menu and restaurant I am one of your biggest fans and prophets, but I write this review because you guys really missed it on our fries. We came in for lunch around 12:30 and everything else was perfect as usual, but our regular fries were sooooo greasy, flavors were great but it was spokes in grease, hey you guys are 9.99 out of ten so I just wanted to let you know about this slight error so that you remain 10 / 10!!! Again awesome job just one lil slip!!!! See ya soon

Hands down one of the best burgers I've ever had....and I've had a lot of burgers. I ordered the Atom Burger and added an egg. Fantastic. Just enough heat and was still enjoyable. Service wasn't bad. We were sat quickly and greeted just as fast by our server. Food didn't take long to come out. Fairly priced for other bigger spots of it's kind. Worth the stop

Food, drinks, and service are always great. It also has my favorite atmosphere of any other restaurant in little rock, usually my number one choice when getting together with a group of friends. The truffle fries and milkshakes are my absolute favorites and always the first thing I suggest to newbies. If you haven't been here I would recommend you go ASAP- best burgers in little rock by far!

To celebrate my twin boy's "17th" birthday they both wanted a BIG BURGER. So, we decided to eat at Big Orange. We were not disappointed. The burgers are made with 100% Black Angus Beef. It is rare for me to find a good quality tasting burger patty with delicious toppings. Big Orange definitely has both which is why my family really enjoys their burgers. As much as I could rave about their burgers, I could rave even louder about their garlic fries. Oh, how they are so tasty. The garlic butter drizzled all over the fries makes these fries one of the best fries I have ever had. I was surprised that a burger place would make great tasting other sandwiches like their blackened fish sandwich and their fried chicken sandwich. Both of these sandwiches also ranked really high in my book. Everything that came to the table was seasoned well and hot. Had the blt wedge and it was definitely in my top 3 wedge salads! Also had a side of fries that were excellent with the dipping sauce. But back to the salad... Lots of bacon, tomatoes and plenty of balsamic glaze and dressing.

About six months ago I drastically cut back on meat and made a lifestyle change...like, I'll eat it when it's inconvenient not to or if I'm in Philly for example I'm going to have a cheesesteak, etc. I'm firm with it but not an extremist...I'd call myself a weekday vegetarian. When I'm in Little Rock, I'm going to eat a Big Orange burger at some point. Simply stated, it is THE best gourmet-style hamburger in the Natural State, though to be fair I've heard great things about a couple of places further east that I've yet to try. I would be surprised if someone's doing it better, though. I WAS a big meat-eater, so I've been around. It's in the details. Grass-fed beef. Their own bun. Clean. Presentation. Friendly. Place is just done right, all the details. I've had three French fries in 6 months. They were all truffle fries at Big Orange.

The new Big Orange looks great! Very hip, modern, and yet still family friendly. The menu is the same as the Promenade location, and the food is just as good. The major difference is the upgrade to the decor and cutting edge style of the restaurant itself. Job well done!

In town on business and found this place with good reviews. I had the turkey Atom Burger and it was awesome! The turkey was moist and tender and the burger was very flavorful. It was perfectly spicy and not overpowering. I also had the hummus plate, which was also very good. The service was great, the decor was nice. My only complaint is that the seats are a little uncomfortable. Other than that, everything was great!

Fantastic food & service & ambiance! The curried falafel & lentil burgerwich is our favorite! Try the sweet potato fries with the mango curry ketchup & the truffle fries with the aioli. The drinks are great too. They make a great mint julep!

I am giving this 4 stars. Fantastic food! Service was ok (I've seen better). They initially told us it would be an hour wait, but it ended up only 45min. Just to let you know, it is VERY LOUD in the restaurant. They should also put a bathroom up on the 2nd level. All in all, I'd go back here because of the WONDERFUL FOOD. I had a Farmers market burger with a chicken patty added to it. It was delicious.

I beyond excited that Scott McGhee (et al) opened this resturaunt in Midtown. I went during soft opening last week and have been back twice since!! Runs like its been open for years! Now that its in my backyard I have ventured beyond the burger, turkey burger and veggie burger. All fabulous! The cheese dip is phenomenal! Hands down the best Negroni I've ever had!! Hand made barrel aged cocktails!!! Over 100 beers to choose from!! The service is top notch and atmosphere can't be beat. Don't miss this gem if you are in little rock!

Am a fan all of this group's ventures but am so happy to have this one closer to my neighborhood. Great staff, service, atmosphere and of course food and drinks. Has become my new hang out and it is still in the soft opening stage. It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood!

There are a lot of reasons to like this place...the food is fresh and delicious, the interior design is dimensional and bright, and the bar is top notch. The menu makes you want to come back just to try out all of the unique combinations that they have. Service was great too. The only thing that makes me think twice is the cost of some of the beer (maybe the cocktails are the same). I don't mind paying a little extra for fresh food, but some of the beer prices compared to similar locations or the same beer somewhere else in Little Rock is a little high for this area. That being said, they really have an awesome beer menu that is constantly changing and offering exclusives. Just be prepared...if you're going on a date and have 2-3 drinks plus dinner, you're gonna drop 70-90 bucks most likely...not a big deal at a fancy restaurant, but kinda crazy for a burger joint. For that reason, I don't know if it's even worth marking them down. While expensive, you do get what you pay for. I guess I'll just have to stick to happy hours!

Love Big Orange. Farm burger and sweet tater fries with a shake is the best way to bust a diet ever. Affordable enough for a family of four and a beautiful environment. Glad we've got one nearer my house!

Innovative burgers and salads for Little Rock. Love the turkey burger and falafel burgers. Their wines on tap are surprisingly good, as I would not typically order anything but a premium wine. Their beer selection is awesome and is rotated so it never gets old. So glad to have the midtown location. Now we need a Local Lime In Midtown Scott!

Have traveled all of the country and this is one of the best veggie burgers I have had. The service at both locations is great, but this location is larger than the one on Chenal and has more seating. Great fries and incredible shakes. Definitely a must visit while in the Little Rock area. Would definitely come back when I visit Little Rock again.

great fries. burgers are just so so. again tho, great fries. tempura asparagus is delish. burger complaints: 1. too much bun 2. patty too thick 3. patty seemed like it was grilled briefly then put in the oven, brought out a nice shade of gray. this is a restaurant that sounds great and looks great from 20 feet away but isn't so hot on close inspection.
